I was returning from an orienteering event one Sunday about a month ago when I saw these beautiful trees in the last throws of Autumn. They are at the ABC Roundabout, one of the busiest areas for traffic in Hobart.
I resolved to return at night time. This shot was taken in the dark at 5:30pm and there was quite a bit of traffic – you can see their light trails. Fortunately there was a street light illuminating the foliage in front perfectly, so this is a straight shot with no need to use flash. Sometimes you get lucky. For technically-minded people, it’s a 30 second exposure at f9, with the zoom set to 13mm.
