Nothing much to report from the mother country, but I found these photos on my iPhone. This was in a small town in Iceland called Fludir, where we stayed 3 nights. It was a surprise to find an Ethiopian restaurant there – the food was cheap, delicious and authentic – you ate with your fingers. The lovely lady came from Addis Adaba to work as a nanny 7 years ago and stayed. Here she is making coffee for us the traditional way.
First you light the fire and roast the beans
Then pour the water
Light the incense and wait
After about half an hour you are served with delicious coffee and you can go back for as many as you want
