Would suit young family – small plot, great view. Families with eggs that roll should not apply.
These birds lay eggs that are fat at one end and pointy at the other, so they don’t roll. Natural selection I guess. That would explain the absence of chooks nesting on these cliffs.
Today we continued our exploration of the wild and rugged coastline on the Western tip of Iceland, where lava flows met the sea and formed bizarre shapes.
And finally we got up close to some seals – doing what seals do, which isn’t much
Except for the occasional pilates session
A Grey Seal holds for 10 seconds
We also found a canyon only a few metres wide and at least 50 metres high
Oh yes, and another tern of course
But we didn’t need to travel to Iceland to see these oyster catchers
