Today we headed from the north east inland and westward across a hraun (lava flow). This one was smaller than the one in the south east, but it still took about an hour to cross. Nothing grows on them and they are stark and grand. The locals call them deserts.
We’re now in a thermal area with boiling mud pools and the smell of sulphur everywhere
And we found our second skogur – not bad eh?
