Tasmanian Photography Tour

I had a great day yesterday showing Choon and Thwin around on a photographic tour to some of my favourite places around Hobart.
First there was sunrise on Hobart’s Eastern Shore where we photographed wave movement while the sun was lighting up Mt Wellington.
Look out Choon!

Then breakfast and a slow trip up the picturesque Derwent Valley, stopping many times for photographic opportunities

We stopped for a lovely sunset at Bushy Park and arrived exhausted back in Hobart after 12 hours of photography.

The next morning I took Choon and Thwin for a bonus trip up Mt Wellington for sunrise.

I wanted to photograph beautiful landscape of Hobart area while we were visiting the city. It was a great pleasure that Mike accepted our request to be the photography guide for the day.
He planned and prepared many options and locations around Hobart and Mt Field area for me to capture a great variety of Tasmania landscapes in different lights. He is not only an expert photographer himself but also a great guide sharing technical tips and very knowledgeable about the area. I would say photo spots that Mike brought us are truly hidden treasures that only a few local would know. I greatly enjoyed taking photographs with Mike and exchanging ideas. We had great sunrise shoot at rocky beach overlooking Mt Wellington, vintage point over a sleepy little town of New Norfolk, a picturesque salmon pond & an old hops factory, snowy Mt Wellington, a lush green Mt Field National Park and many more scenic spots along the way.
As for my non-photographer friend, she simply enjoyed the tour, food and the conversation with Mike about local knowledge and culture.
Thank you, Mike for wonderful experience for us. Your guidance kept me efficient and able to take great shots in a limited amount of time.
